In any given year approximately 60,000 people apply to join the Police Service. Home Office figures show that only one in seven applicants actually succeed.

For example the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), who are the largest in the country, have 2,800 vacancies projected for the year 2008-2009 and in 2009-2010 this is likely to significantly reduce to 600! Competition for places is fierce and the available posts will be heavily over-subscribed. Many constabularies including Kent, Surrey and Essex recruit significantly smaller numbers.

The application process is rigorous and unlike anything you are likely to have encountered before. It can take up to three years in some instances.

Could you complete the application form and confidently provide examples of skills you have used when dealing with issues of race and diversity, problem solving or any of a number of competencies which show you have the necessary potential to be a police officer.

Do you know how to complete a briefing report based on minimal information?

Could you deal with a conflicting situation in an assessed role-play?

Could you provide a five minute answer to a single question without prompting from the interviewer?

You will need to if you want to pass the assessment and become a Police Officer.

Diversity and communication skill checks built into the assessment centre are failing more and more candidates. If you fail in your application, it is unlikely that you will be able to re-apply for six months and only then if your chosen Police Service is still recruiting.

Can you afford to fail? If the answer is yes, then we will say good luck to you and thank you for taking the time to look at our website. Don't forget though, you could be up against candidates who have used our services.

If you don't want to take that risk, perhaps you do have at least one of the qualities required to be a Police Officer. Please feel free to look through our site without any obligation. Regardless of whether you choose to use our services or not, we wish you the best of luck with your application.

I have passed the police selection and now have a start date. I must tell you that the studying materials that I purchased from you were really helpful. I am recommending PACT to all my friends who want to join the police. Thank you for everything.
